Freemasonry is the oldest and largest fraternity in the world dedicated to the Brotherhood of Man under the Fatherhood of a Supreme Being. Freemasonry is not a religion although it is of a religious nature. It urges its members to be faithful and devoted to their own religious beliefs.

Freemasonry is a moral institution veiled in Allegory and illustrated with symbols. With each symbol comes multiple meanings. A Mason is to constantly strive to improve himself and assist those less fortunate. Freemasonry makes good men better.

The organization of Freemasonry is based on a system of Grand Lodges, each sovereign within its own territory. There is no central authority governing all Grand Lodges. Many Grand Lodges also have smaller governing bodies within themselves known as districts. This enables local representation of the Grand Lodge.

North Star Lodge No 405 - F. & A. M. falls under the jurisdiction of the 33rd Masonic District of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Florida.

We would like to thank our Brethren from J. Dewey Hawkins Masonic Lodge

No. 331 - F. & A. M. for extending us a warm welcome to their building.
